1. What are the Directives issued by the Energy Division of the Prime Minister’s Office on sale of petroleum products?
To date, the Energy Division of the Prime Minister’s Office have issued 5 Directives on the Sale of Petroleum Products (Gasoline and Diesel) issued by the Energy Division, Prime Minister’s Office. The Directives cover the sale of Gasoline (Premium 97, Super 92 & Regular 85) and Diesel) at all land based and riverine retail stations. The Directives and their respective effective dates are as follow:-
a). Directives on the Sale of Petroleum Products (Premium 97, Super 92, Regular 85 and Diesel)
Effective date: 1 January 2006
b). Additional Directive (I) on Sales of Diesel and Motor Gasoline Premium 97 to Vehicles and Vessel Not Registered in Brunei Darussalam
Effective date: 1 October 2007, withdrawn on 19 June 2008
c). Additional Directive (II) on Requirement to use Fleetcard for Sales of Diesel and Gasoline for Commercial Vehicles and VesselsEffective date: 15 April 2008
d). Additional Directive (III) on Sales of Diesel and Motor Gasoline Premium 97 to Vehicles and Vessels Not Registered in Brunei Darussalam
Effective date: 19 June 2008 Addtional Directive (I), issued on 1 October 2007 withdrawn.
e). Additional Directives (IV) on the Sale of Petroleum Products (Gasoline and Diesel)
